Boat care and boat watch in Dana Point Harbor
We check your boat while you are away, tell you what we find with photos, keep every record in one place and arrange the work it needs with qualified vendors, technicians and mechanics.
Watch: $65 a month
Two short visits a month, the don't-sink plan:
- Fenders and dock lines: position, chafe and tension
- Battery voltage recorded
- Water in the hull and listing
- Scuppers and cockpit drains draining
- Mildew and mold check
- A visit report to you, with anything noticeable
Check: $165 a month
A full check visit every other week, with monthly, 60-day and 90-day checks rotating in, built for your exact boat, power or sail:
- Bilge pumps and float switch tested; shore power, charger and battery switches
- Hull, waterline, canvas and covers, hatches and cabin
- Engine oil, fluids, belts, hoses, fuel/water separator and grease points
- Seacocks exercised so they cannot seize; steering, electronics and lights
- Safety gear dates: flares, EPIRB, extinguishers, life jackets
- Each engine after the first adds $20 a month
Add-ons
- Engine run: $40 per engine per visit. About 15 minutes running to temperature, then a 10-minute fresh-water flush
- Rinse-down: $30 per visit up to 30 ft, windows squeegeed
- Generator run: $40 per visit
- Upkeep: $35 a month for snaps, buttons, zippers and fillet knives
Stormwatch, in every plan
When high wind or heavy rain is coming, we check fenders, dock lines, scuppers and the bilge before and after the storm, whatever your regular schedule.
Maintenance arranged for you
Bottom cleaning by a diver, zincs and anodes, engine service and repairs: we gather quotes, lay out your options and book the work with a licensed pro once you approve. Out-of-water work goes through a boatyard. Your manufacturer's maintenance schedule always comes first.
Your boat in the app
A full boat profile, checklists built for your engines and equipment, visit reports with photos, engine hours, safety gear and registration reminders, float plans and documents, for you and anyone you share the boat with.
Questions
Do I need to be at the boat?
No. We visit on our schedule and send you a report with photos after every visit. Tell us in the app when you are taking the boat out so we skip that visit.
What if you find a problem?
Small things, like a loose line or a clogged scupper, we fix on the spot. Anything more, we tell you right away with photos and, with your approval, book a qualified pro.
Does running my engines cost extra?
Yes. Running an engine takes real time, about 25 minutes per engine with the flush, so it is a $40 per engine add-on rather than hidden in the plan price.
Is this a marine survey?
No. A visual check records what we saw that day. It is not a marine survey or a certification that the boat is seaworthy.
